Mercedes-Benz assures local customers
PETALING JAYA: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has assured its customers that the global recall of 100,000 Mercedes-Benz C and E-Class will not affect them. In a press release yesterday, the company said none of the affected vehicles were produced at its production plant in Pekan. The luxury car maker issued the recall recently due to potential steering problems. However, it said that 38 vehicles, mainly E-Class Coupe imported into Malaysia from Germany were affected. It added that Mercedes-Benz Malaysia had been in contact with the 38 customers via its authorised dealership to carry out the required scope of work.
