The recent Straits Times article attempting to "decipher" the language of the manosphere is yet another example of mainstream media’s desperate attempt to discredit men who are rejecting a rigged system. It predictably follows the same tired formula of cherry-picking the most extreme voices, misrepresenting the movement, and painting men who speak up as dangerous, bitter, or misguided.
Rather than engaging with men’s actual concerns, the article reduces the entire spectrum of male self-awareness to a handful of online labels, such as“Red Pill," "Black Pill," "MGTOW," etc. framing them as extremist ideologies rather than survival strategies in an openly hostile environment.
Zero acknowledgment of why these movements exist in the first place.
Men are checking out for good reasons.
Dangerous to who? Certainly not to themselves.
The article subtly pushes the idea that men who reject modern dating, marriage, or societal expectations are part of some radical ideology. Yet, when women pursue independence, they are "empowered." When men do the same, they are "hateful, weak, or incel."
This double standard is precisely why so many men are walking away. There is no incentive to participate in a system that only sees them as disposable utilities.
MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way) is not a hate movement. It is a rational response to a world that increasingly views men as second-class citizens, useful when needed, discarded when not. It is men reclaiming their autonomy in the same way women were encouraged to do decades ago. The system does not benefit when men opt out, so it resorts to shaming and demonization.
The biggest fear of the establishment is not men who lash out, but men who quietly exit.
The real threat is men who refuse to be exploited.
The men who refuse to marry into a system designed to strip them of everything.
The men who refuse to engage in a workplace that does not value them.
The men who refuse to be shamed into sacrificing their well-being for people who hate them.
And that’s exactly what’s happening. Birth rates are plummeting. Marriage rates are collapsing. The number of men rejecting traditional roles is at an all-time high. These aren’t failures; these are the logical outcomes of a society that has failed men and refuses to correct course.
Instead of attacking men for walking away, perhaps society should take a hard look at why they’re leaving in the first place. Until the mainstream media is ready to have an honest conversation, these hit pieces will only serve to accelerate the exodus.
Men are not your scapegoats, they see through the propaganda, and they are no longer playing your game.

Men are checking out for good reasons.
- Biased divorce courts that strip men of their assets, children, and dignity.
- False tape allegations that require no evidence to ruin a man’s life.
- A dating market that punishes men while rewarding the worst women behaviors.
- Workplace policies that elevate quotas over competence, leaving men undervalued.
- A society that celebrates female independence but condemns male autonomy.
Dangerous to who? Certainly not to themselves.
