Manpower Minister Gan Kim Yong has hinted that issues such as making it easier for low-wage workers to continue to upgrade themselves and making the Workfare Income Supplement Scheme more accessible will be tackled in the Budget.

Measures to encourage low-wage workers to take up training to bail out crony companys set to collect and receive the government hand-outs even before the worker gets his or her pay check !

Upgrading for low-wage workers are plainly just balls. :oIo: When the bottom line of employer looking for workers is simply who can agree to their lowest wage demand.

A more appropriate training for low-wage citizens is upgrade course to be become FT to lower their wage demand.

Another one idiot minister, never think before speak.
How are those low skill go training?
1. After training what kind of jobs they get
2. Will they get pay extra pay/salary increase
3. Who will pay for the course
4. They work daily from hand to mouth who will pay then they go on training)
5. Many don't know english(how to train in short time)
6. Will their boss let them go for training
7. Who will pay for the transport
