Christmas 2009 is finally here and for those of us who have been looking forward to this religious day of the birth of Jesus Christ our savior, we are facing a loss of what has been so sacred. Society is set on destroying itself my means of greed and discontent. Because of our well-meaning, law-abiding politicians we have lost the simple meaningful life we once enjoyed.
A few school administrators are taking “Christmas” out of this religious day, replacing it with “winter holiday.” Retail businesses for many years started wishing shoppers a happy holiday rather than Merry Christmas, and want to do everything possible to get the last dollar out of our pockets.
I am angry and want to stand up and shout enough is enough.
I want retailers to wake up and understand that, your income and livelihood comes because of “Christmas,” not a “Winter Holiday.” Happy holiday salutations mean nothing to me or family members. We have decided to boycott any business that doesn’t display the meaning of Christmas.
I hope readers support my simple request, bring back the meaning of the Christmas season — and that is Jesus is the reason for the season.
