SINGAPORE: Four people were injured Thursday - three of them seriously - after a fight broke out outside the Singapore Malay National Organisation building in Eunos.
The organisation is better known as PKMS, short for Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Singapura.
PKMS's Deputy President Ramlee Mohammad said the organisation's new committee members had gone to the building to take over some things but the old committee had refused to let them in.
A fight then ensued.
Mr Ramlee added some members were attacked with screw drivers and hammers.
The three seriously injured men have been sent to Changi General Hospital.
Other members had gone to the Bedok Police Station to give statements.
It is believed that seven police cars were sent to the scene and two lanes were closed to traffic.
The PKMS is a political party which was originally a branch of the United Malays National Organisation.
