首相安华宣布 森林城市列金融特区​

位于马来西亚依斯干达特区的森林城市被政府列为金融特区，以吸引投资者和知识性员工。
（新山25日讯）首相兼财政部长拿督斯里安华今日宣布，将柔佛州森林城市（Forest City）列为金融特区（Special Zone）。

他说，位于马来西亚依斯干达特区的森林城市将具备竞争力，在未来经常往来森林城市金融特区工作的合格熟练员工，将享有15%的所得税特别税率，这将吸引国际投资者和识型员工来到我国，带动我国经济发展。

安华今日下午到位于依斯干达布蒂里依斯干达城的柔佛州政府大厦出席“2024年财政预算案与州政府巡回对话会”（柔佛站）上，作出这项宣布。

安华也宣布政府将开设海关快捷通道，方便海外熟练员工入境。

安华：柔佛州森林城市列为金融特区。
他指出，马来西亚依斯干达特区内的金融特区附近有各类国际高等教育机构及院校，还有各项高端工业园，将让该区更有竞争力。

他促请政府各部门及柔佛州政府合作，确保上述金融特区能在近期内落实。

他也促请内政部及移民局为金融特区的海外熟练员工提供方便，包括以特别居留证或签证的方式，希望当局不以任何理由，拒绝落实快捷通道。

安华（中）周五旋风式拜访柔佛州，周五下午出席和柔佛州各企业对话会。
他希望透过提供各种奖掖及交通便利，让居住在马来西亚依斯干达特区，尤其居住在森林城市的外国居民，能获得教育、卫生及基础建设所带来的方便。

出席者包括财政部副部长长拿督斯里阿末马斯兰，以及柔佛州务大臣拿督翁哈菲兹。

根据媒体早前报导，安华在今年2月提呈的2023年财政预算案中，初次提出在马来西亚依斯干达特区设立一个金融特区的提议，以吸引外国投资者进驻，并留住熟练员工。

Malaysia had asked to borrow from SG but was rebuffed.
They had no choice but currency control. SG was shortsighted not realizing the implications of it.
Malaysia wouldn't have needed to go that route if SG wasn't that miserly, 'pauper thy neighbour' kind of asshole.

there’s no point buying homes in jiuhu if you’re a foreign retiree. if you’re not a ultra high income earner nor a multimillion $ investor the ml gov will not approve your pr application nor even offer you an mm2h visa (now reduced to 5 years from 10). and why subject yourself to all the rules and regulations of home ownership in ml when you can rent on the cheap in major cities there? a retiree can rent a 3-bedroom furnished and serviced condo in penang for us$300 a month, a 2-level furnished and serviced condo in kl for us$400 a month, and a 3 bedroom furnished and serviced condo in jb for us$200 a month. the foreign retiree can downsize to 2 bedroom condos and pay less for all 3 locations. he can spend 1st month in penang, 2nd month in kl, and 3rd and last month in jb based on a 90-day visa. scoot over to sinknpour or bangcock for a few days and return to ml on another 90-day visa. in bangcock it’s also cheap for us$200 a month condo. so convenient and cheap.
