Strange that it wasn't reported in the MSM.
Friend's colleague who stay in clementi said that SMRT staff prevented commuters from even entering the station at ard 8+ am.

Usually AssMRT will report train fault, disruption time in the news.

yeah when my train got to Jurong East MRT the whole area was flooded with people... looks kinda dangerous, some commuters just went out of the station to take other transports i presume... it happened at ard 745 sorts of timing...

nationalised train company make 48 million peanuts but force peasants to pack themselves like sardines in the name of super normal profits.

the main reason why such abuses are allowed to persist is the apparent policy of 'Amakudari'.

influential lackeys and minions are given directorships and cushy jobs in nationalised transport companies. these vermins presents to nationalised transport providers, the political backing to ignore peasants' complaints over the erratic train/bus schedules and sardine pack scenarios every morning.

the peasants complained till the cows come home and yet nationalised transport companies merely fold their arms and suggest boorish peasants are the main cause of sardine packed trains and spotty bus services.
