Masseuse happy at being arrested
WHILE most would have panicked, a foreign masseuse was happy at being arrested by the authorities, Harian Metro reported. During the operation, officers from the Putrajaya Immigration Department raided a massage parlour at a popular shopping mall in Subang, which was suspected to have been employing illegal workers. The officers detained eight foreigners, including two men and six women aged between 20 and 40.
The paper said the Thai woman was apparently relieved the place was raided because she had not been paid her salary for a few months. She also claimed she had been forced to work long hours by her employer. The department’s assistant operations director Mohd Sharulnizam Ismail said those detained had been sent to a temporary lock-up at the Putrajaya Immigration Department headquarters.
