SINGAPORE : The Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Environment Agency (NEA) are investigating a case of suspected mass food poisoning at a community event last Saturday.
Nearly 50 people ?many of them children ?were down with suspected food poisoning after having eaten pre梡acked Indian vegetarian food at a community event at the Woodlands Community Club (CC).
About 600 people attended the event organised by a number of Indian community clubs in the area.
The affected persons began vomiting two to three hours after the event, with some taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesman from the People抯 Association (PA) said they have been discharged hospital and are recovering at home. Community clubs fall under the purview of PA.
The caterers?food handlers have been sent for health screening.
