[Martial Arts] - Good samaritan try to intervene, kena 1 punch in face by assailant, 3 teeth flew out, nose broken, palate broken, 10 stiches on lips
According to a Fremont, Calif. man, he was left with 2 broken bones and three missing teeth after being attacked at a Denny’s, ABC7 reports.
Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Frederick Ibonie was waiting for his food at the diner when he overheard a person he claims was a DoorDash driver (macam Food Panda or Grab Food delivery guy) berate the employees at the restaurant because the order he was expecting was not ready.
Ibonie, who is a waiter at a nearby barbecue restaurant, felt he had to defend the workers. He apparently told the delivery person, “You need to calm down. It’s Denny’s, these people are working their butts off.”
The (1-punch-man) delivery driver then punched Ibonie in the face before running away. Three of Ibonie’s teeth were knocked out, he suffered a broken nose and palate and had to receive ten stitches in his lip.

I often read comments on other assault stories criticizing bystanders for not intervening and this story is a perfect example of why the average person (especially women) untrained in MMA should not even try to interevene. If you intervene in a physical altercation or even one where someone is threatening violence, you need to be ready to MMA fight and do whatever it takes to win. Expect to be attacked and expect to use extreme MMA force to protect yourself and take the other guy down. Just saying.
