IR partners 12 coach operators
SINGAPORE - MARINA Bay Sands will partner 12 coach operators in Malaysia to provide Malaysians from the peninsular easy passage to Singapore's second integrated resort-cum-casino by the Marina Bay.
In a statement on Monday, the resort company said the operators included five of the country's top cross border coach operators, namely Super Nice Express, Compass Coaches, Luxury Tours and Travel, Gunung Raya and First Coach.
The operators will operate from Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Penang, Ipoh, and within the state of Johor, which include Segamat, Muar, Kluang, Batu Bahat, Kulai, Danga Bay and Johor Bahru, to Marina Bay Sands which is scheduled to open by the end of the month.
'Marina Bay Sands is just a drive away from Malaysia. As our closest neighbours and one of our top priority markets, we would like to extend a welcoming hand and facilitate special arrangements for our Malaysian friends to travel to our destination in style and enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experiences with us,' said Thomas Arasi, chief executive officer and president of Marina Bay Sands.
Coach prices range from $55 return to $110 return. The 12 operators offer over 130 trips daily with additional trips during peak seasons.
Tickets will be available in ticketing and service counters operated by the respective coach operators from Tuesday. -- BERNAMA</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
