If one is talented in relevant fields, why not?

In 80s, a lot of talented sportsmen or artistes were called
"supernumeries". Spent time in their talented areas(squash, football,rugby,drama,etc)
during NS stint and collect SAF pay every each month, by representing SAFSA.
