KUALA LUMPUR - The body of a man believed to have been beaten and left for dead was found near his car at Bukit Mahkota here.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said passers-by alerted the police after they stumbled upon the body of manager Wong Sin Keong, 42, beside Jalan Mahkota at around 8am yesterday.
"Our personnel found the body with wounds on the head. We believe that Wong had been bludgeoned on the head with a blunt object," he said yesterday.
Initial investigation showed that Wong's identification documents and valuables were intact, added ACP Ab Rashid.
Wong's body has been sent to the Serdang Hospital for post-mortem.
The police are now trying to piece together events leading to Wong's death and have not ruled out business rivalry as a motive.
He urged anyone with information to contact the Selangor police hotline at 03-2052 9999 or the nearest police station.
