Man who robbed elderly women in lifts pleads guilty

A 53-YEAR-OLD man preyed on elderly women by robbing them of their gold necklaces in housing board lifts, a district court heard on Thursday.
Lim Choon Gui's oldest victim was 80, and the youngest, 60.
He committed 11 counts of robbery and snatch theft shortly after his release from a five-year and 12-stroke sentence for robbery and drug consumption.
Lim, who had been in and out of prison since 1990, pleaded guilty to five charges of robbery and one of failing to report for urine test .
