Man suspected of stealing from temple donation box arrested

The police have arrested a 34 year-old man who is believed to be involved in several cases of theft of cash from a temple's donation box.
At about 12.10am on Sunday, the caretaker of a temple located along Syed Alwi Road reported to the police that cash had been stolen from the donation box that was kept inside the temple.
Following the caretaker's report, officers from the Central Police Division mounted an operation at about 3am on Tuesday and succeeded in arresting the suspect.
He is believed to have stolen money from the donation box on at least three occasions this month alone.
