In another report, Harian Metro said a 35-year-old employment agent, desperate to bring his runaway wife and their three children back home, stole two necklaces worth RM15,000 from a goldsmith shop in Kuala Lipis.
Two policemen, who were patrolling the area, heard the screams from the 60-year-old woman who owned the shop, caught the culprit as he tried to flee on his motorcycle.
The man told the police that he stole the jewellery to win back his wife, who had left home with their children after a quarrel.
