Saturday 21st November, 2009
He pistol-whipped him, and then ordered the boy to take off his clothers. He then marched him naked out of the house.
When a Highland Park, Michigan, mother was told by her 15-year old son he had inappropriately laid on top of his 3 year old sister, she was concerned.
She telephoned the boy's father, from whom she had separated, and told him about it.
Jamar Pinkney, who lives in nearby Detroit, was outraged over his son's treatment of his daughter, and drove to the family home. When he arrived he confronted his son, Jamar Jnr (pictured), with a gun. He pistol-whipped him, and then ordered the boy to take off his clothers. He then marched him naked out of the house to an empty field.
Jamar Jnr then pleaded with his father, falling to his knees crying, "No, Daddy, no." The boy's mother, joined in the pleas, but they were ignored. Pinkney put the gun to his son's head and fired it. The boy died instantly.
Pinkney, 37, a postal delivery worker, then got into his car and drove away.
"No individual has the right to exact the death penalty on another, no matter how reprehensible the behavior. That is why we have laws," Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Friday.
