SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 58-year-old man allegedly responsible for a case of housebreaking and theft at vicinity of Bukit Batok Street 11.

On April 1 at about 7.40 am, the victim discovered that his office was broken into and ransacked. Cash amounting to $2,400 was stolen.

Through extensive investigations, the identity of the suspect was established and he was arrested on Monday at about 2.00 pm.

Police said a court order will be sought to remand the accused in Jurong Police Division for further investigations.

The suspect will be charged in Court on Wednesday. If convicted, he could be punished with imprisonment for a term of up to 14 years and a fine.
