Man ambushed and slashed clubber more than 10 times at Golden Mile nightclub

SINGAPORE - It became a bloody mess at a Thai nightclub in Golden Mile Complex when a man in his 30s slashed a clubber outside the club's toilet in the wee hours yesterday, Feb 19.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the man (in black) had ambushed his victim as he came out of the toilet, brandishing a 30-cm kitchen knife.
The victim, a Chinese man also in his 30s, was attacked violently. The attacker caught him off-guard as he first delivered a blow to his back.
In total, he suffered about six slashes to his face and more than ten slashes to his neck, back, and stomach. Some gashes were so deep that his bone was showing when paramedics arrived.
The Chinese newspaper stated that from what is known, the victim was a club regular.
The attacker was a man who was banned from entering the club, as he had been creating havoc after drinking on many occasions before this.
An eyewitness said that the he had seen the attacker walking around the club as if he was looking for someone.
The two had never met.
Mr Lu, the club's manager, shared that the victim was a small guy with heart problems. He said that he did not seem the sort to rouse up a scuffle.
Police arrived at 12:52a.m. to assist the situation and arrested the attacker, who seemed calm and did not resist.
The victim was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital conscious.
Investigations are still ongoing.
