Man jumps in front of train to become "Internet sensation"

A 28-year-old Chinese man has been arrested after jumping in front of a subway train. The man leapt in front of the moving train with a camera because he thought it would be 'exciting'.

He did the stunt because he wanted it to become an internet sensation. CCTV footage shows the man leaping from the platform and onto the tracks in front of a oncoming train on the Shanghai subway.

He continues rolling the camera even when on the tracks and when the train came to a halt over him. He lay down between the tracks and avoided injury.

The man then calmly climbed back onto the platform, while still filming the train. An anxious train conductor came out to investigate. The man told the train operator that he had accidentally fallen onto the tracks.

When questioned by police, the Chinese man admitted that he did the stunt for fame - hoping it would become an Internet sensation.

This is a problem when you have 1 billion people all trying to stand out. Try giving democracy to these people. The world will be in chaos.

Maybe initially as they are new to those alien Western ideas, but as time goes by they'd get used to it and calm down.

It's just like how the first Singapore Idol had outstanding contestants like a lemon tree man with a double-twinkle spin and a gay eyebrow-plucking hunky dork strip-dancing to his underwear. That's what you get when you try giving a Western-style contest to these people (in Singapore) too.

By the second event visitation the candidates have mostly become ordinary and bland and had thrown away their extreme, crazy, wild and may I add, stupid side.
