Man jailed for molesting 3

AN UNEMPLOYED man was jailed for 12 months on Monday for molesting three women.
Tan Wen Zhong, 23, pleaded guilty to two charges each of grabbing the buttocks of his victims and lifting up their skirts and one of lifting up the skirt of a 20-year-old woman in a lift.
He committed the offences late at night or the wee hours of the morning in Jurong.
The court heard that while he was inside the lift with the 20-year-old woman at a block of flats in Tah Ching Road on March 11, he lifted up her skirt, revealing her underwear.
On March 24 at about 12.20am. he took the same lift as a 18-year-old student at Yuan Ching Road.
When the lift door opened, the victim got out and was walking up the staircase when Tan came from behind, grabbed her buttocks and lifted up her skirt.
He committed the third offence a week later against a 24-year-old woman at the junction of Yuan Ching and Ho Ching roads.
Tan, who has previous convictions for outrage of modesty, could have been jailed for up to two years or fined or caned or any combined punishment on each charge.
