Man jailed and caned for molesting girl below 6

A relief cabby who molested a girl below six about 14 years ago was jailed for 20 months and ordered to be given six strokes of the cane on Tuesday.
Peter Lee Chee Soon, 46, had pleaded guilty to rubbing himself on the girl at his flat in Yishun sometime between 1997 and June 1998.
The court heard that the parents of the girl, then about five or six, had entrusted the victim and her older brother by about a year to his care as they felt he had an affinity with children and believed that he was trustworthy.
Lee would take the children out. The parents would also leave their two children in his care at his home. On a day between January 1997 and June 1998, Lee took the children to his home. He led the victim to his bedroom and sexually abused her.
