Man In Johor Proposes With A Porsche; Netizens Criticise For "Spoiling Market"

When it comes to proposals, you want everything to be perfect. Whether you’re the one proposing or being proposed to, you’ll likely have a dream proposal in mind. After all, you’ll want your partner happy and delighted for this special occasion!
This young man recently went viral for making a lavish proposal to his girlfriend with, of all things, a Porsche! However, netizens weren’t too happy with it. Some criticised the young man for going too far, others took to making fun of the girl!

The proposal reportedly took place in Johor. From the photos, it’s easy to tell that this young lady’s beau went all out! He had the place decorated with balloons and flowers, and even hired professional photographers for the occasion. But, by far, the most eye-catching item there was the giant clear box showcasing a new Porsche.
It was rather sweet, as proposals go. The young man got down on his knee, pulled out a ring box and presented it to the girl. After accepting his proposal, the crowd got the two to share a kiss, much to everyone’s delight. The couple certainly looked very happy and seemed delighted that they could share this special moment with their family and friends.

Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with the proposal. One netizen asked: “Is this going to ruin the (dating) market? Men who can’t afford a sports car won’t be able to marry.” Another asked if the woman was marrying the sports car or the man.
A few netizens also poked fun at the girl’s looks. “Someone with such face and teeth will marry a sports car buyer. So sisters, don’t (fix) your teeth (or get) plastic surgery anymore,” one comment read. Another stated: “Some give sports cars to ordinary people. Beauties, reflect on yourselves.”
However, internet celebrity Han Xiao Ai aka Michell Lim reprimanded them. “Why are people criticizing (her) looks. I clicked on their avatars… seriously… I don’t know who gave them the confidence to criticize…” she stated. Thankfully, many others took the opportunity to congratulate and wish the couple well. A few also defended the couple, saying they could spend their money as they wished.

Well, we can’t deny the fact that it’s certainly one of the more lavish proposals that we’ve seen. But, we too would like to congratulate the couple and wish them happiness as they start their new life together!
