Man faces oral sex charge

A HUMAN resource manager, accused of molesting several girls between 1994 and May this year, on Friday faced a fresh charge of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.

Ng Ban Keong is said to have made the girl perform oral sex on him at the Golden Landmark shopping centre carpark staircase on May 21.

The 53-year-old has been charged with molesting the student at the same spot between 6.40am and 7.10am on the pretext of conducting a medical examination.

He also faces five other counts of molesting girls aged between 10 and 12 at staircase landings in Jurong West and Clementi between 1994 and 2005.

Ng, who is represented by Mr Subhas Anandan, was remanded for psychiatric assessment.

His next court date is July 23.

If found guilty of sexual penetration of a minor, he can be jailed for up to 20 years and fined. Caning will not be imposed as he is above 50.
