HE ESCAPED death when a car rammed into the bicycle he was on 21 years ago. Yesterday, Mr Ho Chin Hay was not so lucky. The 66-year-old was on his way to get his morning coffee when a lorry ploughed into him on Pasir Ris Drive 4 near Block 217.
The driver fled the scene and Mr Ho was pronounced dead shortly after, at 4.57am. Police are appealing for people with information to come forward. The Straits Times understands that Mr Ho was crossing the road near a pedestrian crossing when the white lorry sped towards him.
