Officers detained a man after seizing almost 1kg of illicit drugs from his car at Woodlands checkpoint on Thursday.
This was in a joint operation between Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).
The drugs are believed to be heroin and are approximately 920g. The estimated street value of the drugs is about $138,000.
At about 5am on Thursday, officers stopped a gold saloon car for checks.
