Man charged with spraying graffiti at skating bowl

A man was charged in court on Monday with vandalism by spraying graffiti on the skating bowl at a public park.
Muhammad Ashraf Alias, 29, allegedly committed the offence at Bishan Harmony Park at about 10pm last Saturday. He is remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric examination and will return to court on June 20.
If convicted of vandalism, he could be fined up to $2,000 or jailed for up to three years and given three to eight strokes of the cane.
