A MAN will face court charged with abducting, imprisoning and assaulting two women in Sydney. One woman was abducted and held captive twice within two weeks, and another woman was held against her will for two days. About 6.30am on June 29, a 19-year-old woman was abducted by a man in Aplin Road at Bonnyrigg, taken to a hotel in Rosehill and held against her will.
The woman was able to escape unharmed and reported the matter to police. The same woman was again abducted on July 12, allegedly by the same man, and assaulted. This time she was taken from Carramar and detained at premises in Pyrmont. Again she was able to escape and immediately reported the matter to police.
About 4pm yesterday, a 28-year-old woman told police she had been assaulted and detained against her will by a man at a house in Leichhardt, over a period of two days. A 28-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards and charged with three counts of detaining a person for advantage and four counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, as well as stealing and malicious damage. He was refused bail and is due to appear at Newtown Local Court today.
