The man and woman, both 20, are suspected to be involved in another case of snatch theft.
SINGAPORE: A man and a woman, both 20 years old, have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt near Woodlands Ave 6.
The pair is suspected to have assaulted and robbed a 25-year-old man of his handphone on Nov 24 at 9.35pm.
Officers from Jurong Police Division were able to identify the two suspects through checks on the ground, police said in a news release on Friday (Dec 5).
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man and woman are involved in another case of snatch theft.
The suspects will be charged in court on Saturday. If found guilty, they can be jailed between five and 20 years. The male suspect could face at least 12 strokes of the cane.
