Man arrested for breaking into coffee shop in Clementi

Police arrested an 18-year-old man on Friday who is believed to have broken into a coffee shop along Clementi Ave 4.
The coffee shop owner had filed a complaint with the police on Jan 24, reporting that his coffee shop was broken into.
In a police statement issued on Friday, it mentioned approximately $700 worth of cigarettes and cash was stolen.
After extensive investigation, officers from Clementi Police Division managed to trace the suspect's identity and arrested him in the vicinity of Clementi Ave 4 on Friday.
The suspect will be charged in Court on Saturday for the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a maximum of 14 years' imprisonment.
