As he was led away by the police for allegedly murdering his wife, Madam Faridah Isnin, 41, the man was heard repeatedly asking for forgiveness in Malay.

The tragedy at Jurong West yesterday morning came as a shock to all those who knew the couple.

They were loving and affectionate, and would often be seen holding hands and hugging say family, neighbours and friends.

Madam Faridah's 66-year-old mother heard the pair screaming at about 5am in their bedroom.

By the time the police arrived at 5.19am, they found Madam Faridah lying motionless. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime of passion is very difficult to understand and it's all a needless lose of lives on the spur of emotions losing control.

What's the point of asking for forgiveness after she is dead?

Even if they had disputes as a married couple, can either resolve, forgive or even divorce.
