Man alleges condo attack by diplomat

POLICE have been directed to investigate an alleged assault by a Saudi Arabian Embassy official on a condominium resident.

Mr A. Jaafar, 37, a senior executive, alleged that the Third Secretary of the Saudi Arabian Embassy here, Mr Bader I.F. Al-Balawi, attacked him when he told him not to park at a space reserved for the handicapped at Glendale Park condominium in Hillview Avenue.

He filed a Magistrate's Complaint against the embassy official, and yesterday, a magistrate ruled that the complaint was serious enough to warrant an investigation by the police.

Only an FT can do what you suggest "settle there and then". It would then be an FT vs FT & the authorities would be very understanding & it would all be hushed up.

If the guy who's making the complaint is a Sporean retaliates, he would probably face the full force of the law, a deterrent sentence, canning, long terms at jail...

We all know that the system discriminates against lesser mortals but if you think you can get away with it, go for it.

For those looking for less confrontational methods, think of scratching of cars, flat tyres,....

We will need to scrutinize the law . For it has been unforthcoming .

It uses delays for certain rich folks and severe punishment for peasants .

Civil servants have rules & regulation to protect themselves. If in doubt they'll drag their feet & wait for the top for instructions. Suspect since an FT is involved it will be a long, long time beore we will see any action
