Man accused of paying $600 to underage girl for sex

A self-employed man was charged in court on Thursday with paying a total of $600 to an underage Vietnamese girl for sex.

Joseph Koh Hong Thye, 51, allegedly paid $500 for the sexual services of the 17-year-old girl in a hotel at Geylang Road on Nov 5, 2011, and $100 to her around mid-November.

Koh, who was represented by Mr R. Joethy, is out on police bail.

He was warned not to approach the victim while out on bail.
