Man accused of making bomb hoax call

A cleaner was charged in court on Thursday with making a bomb hoax call.

Zamri Zakara, 38, allegedly called the police hotline from a flat in Bukit Batok on Tuesday, stating that a long-haired man wearing a white shirt and red shorts said he had a bomb and had just walked towards the MRT.

He was remanded for psychiatric assessment.

The case will be mentioned on Jan 19.
