Man accused of causing hurt in 2009 accident

A MAN was brought to court on Friday over an accident two years ago when two passengers in a military ambulance were injured.
Wong Kun Chee, 23, was driving the military ambulance along Lim Chu Kang Road on June 2, 2009 when he allegedly caused hurt to Mr Kelvin Ng Kai Boon, 22, and serious bodily injuries to Mr Carney Mak Zheng Ming, 23.
Both were patients in the vehicle at the time. His case was adjourned for two weeks to Aug 5.
If convicted of causing grievous hurt by a life-endangering act, he can be jailed for up to two years and/or fined up to $5,000.
For causing hurt by an act which endangers life, the maximum penalty is six months and a $2,500 fine.
