UPDATE: Police said in a statement that they have arrested a 55-year-old man in connection to the murder.

Investigations are ongoing.

SINGAPORE - A 48-year-old man has been found murdered at Geylang Lorong 8, the police said in a statement on Monday.

Police were alerted to the case via a call on May 3, at about 9:09pm.

The victim was found lying motionless at the location given. He was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital but was subsequently pronounced dead at about 10.12 pm.

On Monday, citizen journalism website Stomp reported that a man is believed to have been stabbed at Geylang Lorong 8 on Sunday night. A contributor by the name of Nicholas told the website that the victim was lying in a pool of blood on the road.

The case has been classified as murder and investigations are ongoing.

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with the murder of a man in Geylang on Sunday night.

Investigations are ongoing.

The police said that they received a call for assistance at Lorong 8 Geylang at about 9.10pm. The police found the 48-year-old victim lying motionless at the scene.

He was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead just after 10pm.


Shin Min Daily News reported that witnesses interviewed at the coffeeshop said they knew the victim to be an argumentative person.
