Man, 31, arrested for stealing motorcycle parts in carpark

SINGAPORE - A 31-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in the theft of motorcycle component parts at a basement carpark along Fullerton Road.
On August 26 at about 3pm, a motorcycle owner called the police after discovering that his motorcycle's brake lever and brake fluid reservoir worth about $300 had been stolen from his motorcycle.
Police officers proceeded to conduct extensive ground enquiries, and within hours of the report, the identity of the suspect was established.
At about 7pm, the suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Jurong West.
He will be charged in Court on August 28, 2012. If found guilty, he faces a maximum of 7 years in prison and a fine.
