Man, 29, arrested for theft of motorcycle

The police have arrested a 29-year-old man for a case of motorcycle theft.
A motorcycle was reported stolen from an open carpark at Jurong West St 41 on April 18.
Officers from Jurong Police Division arrested the male suspect at a multi-storey carpark along Serangoon North Ave 4 on April 21 at about 2.30 am.
If convicted, he will face a jail term of up to 7 years and will also be liable to a fine.
The police also advises motorcycle owners to:
- park vehicles in well-lit areas
- remove the ignition key and lock the motor vehicle whenever it is left unattended
- use additional locking devices such as disc brake locks on motorcycles
- install an anti-theft alarm
