Man, 19, arrested for molesting in lift

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of molesting a woman at Commonwealth Avenue West.

He had entered the lift at the ground floor and molested the female victim as she was exiting the lift. Police were informed of the incident on Mar 7, and arrested the man on Mar 14, around 1.20 pm, at Kaki Bukit Avenue 4.

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing.

The offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
