The following is a comment left on our sister blog, The Singapore Enquirer by co-founder and editor of Malaysiakini, Mr Premesh Chandran in response to an article “Why there is no Malaysiakini in Singapore” written by our writers Fang Zhi Yuan and Lim Siow Kuan which was published on both Wayangparty.com and Singapore Enquirer. Mr Steven Gan, Chief Editor has also written to us expressing support for our initiative.
Malaysiakini has republished this article as an opinion piece yesterday here.

Thanks for publishing this interesting piece. In many conversations, with Singaporeans and others, we are often asked if Malaysiakini is replicable in Singapore. In this regard, the points noted above are quite accurate. Nevertheless, I do think its possible.
