From $2500 to $4500/mth rental =80% increase.
From a bowl of food at $3 to $4.50 = 50% increase, est $4.50/bowl
HOWEVER:-
1. ONLY the rental had increased, but had his other factors such as food, ingredients, overheads, etc increased EQUALLY at 80%? No, not even with GST included.
2. 8 hrs work\day at 1 bowl $3 per 3mins =avg 20 bowls / hr = $60/hr = $480/8hrs work =$12, 480/26days/mth. (with peak & lull hrs taken into avg consideration)
ingredients costs based upon economy of scale typically are at only 30% of cost price. - $4000/mth
new rental - $4500/mth
Thus is he 'eating wind' as he self claimed, or $4000+/mth money not enough for him that he wants to close down the stall?
