More importantly, Singapore is small island surrounded by Muslim countries. We need a strong Foreign Minister to thumb down our neighbours. In this context, Major Eunuch Chan surely carries himself very well.

To be fair to him, he's in a very untenable position. Nothing he can say will negate the facts. And the facts are stacked against him. He is screwed, but he is not going down without a fight, no matter how feeble or ridiculous it may be. It would be a dream come true if MBT and WKS were placed under similar duress too.
