in queenstown, LUP is initialised. i was told that that area was upgraded. why then LUP wasn't incorporated in then? obviously, it was a planned process to be applied as a political gimmick now that GE is rumoured to be closing in.
residents who have paid for their precinct upgrading are short-changed and are now compelled to pay again for LUP. baey yam keng the current mp after ow chin hock and then chay wai chuen was exploiting this to score for his political points.
if one looks at this, towncouncil is directly involved in such devious scheme which pap exploit, scheme and manouvre to their political advantage. if they are ward-servicing entity, this LUP should ve been incorporated during precinct upgrading. why would they wanna do it now when costs of materials and labour have escalated?
if baey yam keng is indeed for the residents, he should be standing on their side and demand FREE LUP instead of asking for more money which the residents have already paid for precinct upgrade.
