No solution until cyclists learn traffic rules

I REFER to the report, "LTA rejects call to register" (April 4).
Until we educate cyclists to obey traffic rules, measures like registering bicycles in order to identify errant cyclists will be ineffective.
Educating cyclists will reduce the danger that they pose to other road users, particularly to licensed drivers.
The Land Transport Authority and the Traffic Police must sit down together to discuss this matter.
This is especially important as young people are allowed to cycle on the roads without being clearly instructed on their responsibilities to other road users.

bicycles should never be used on main roads thats why can never get registered.
bicycles were commonly used during ancient days when there were only kampong dirt tracks and no traffic junction.
until all cyclists get it into their thick skulls not to let their bikes come onto the main road, they are all heading towards death gates.

Most cyclists are dumbasses. They can't understand the concept of - PAVEMENTS FOR PEDESTRIANS, not for dogs and cyclists!
