had enough of stupid labour and especially Rudd's policies... soft, inepth and toxic to the whole country. i hope Abbott will take over the helm and take Oz out of this debt hole and the wrongdoings that labour had done especially in QLD where Ms Bligh is going to sell off the public assets just 2 weeks after she won the seat.

Looks like the trend is to have a 'hung' parliament.....and if this happens in sg....would be damn interesting

In Singapore, it is possible to rig the GE for PAP to win. It is very inefficient to have a hung parliament. I should know, I used to do dirty jobs for the Singapore govt, like giving out electoral rolls to connected organisations to trace debts, etc of Singaporeans who moved houses. But that was in the past, I need to MOVE FORWARD!

Australia, like the UK, is now facing an unstable minority govt. Usually, these minority govts do not last long. We expect another Fed Election soon. Hope it does not end up like Japan.

FYI At state level, WA had a hung parliament last election.

You should see the Labor election watchers, it is like a funeral.

If Labor finally reflect on why I do not vote for them, it is the NSW Right. They should have lost a lot of influence a long time ago, but NOW, I hope Labor will restructure itself.

But the results of this election is a lose-lose. I expect Labor to form a Labor-Greens-Independent government that is the worst results we can have.

Unlike Singapore, where the PAP is larger than the people, for us in Australia, life still go on as usual. The wonders of Aussie system.

I think this hung parliament election results has a silver lining.

On the surface ...

1. Both parties realise that the voters have spoken. Time to put the focus beyond partisan politics.

2. The bush has always been out of the pollies mind. Perhaps, it is time to realise that rural Australia is the answer to overcrowded cities.

Rural Australia is a potential food bowl of Asia.

It is not a surprised that we had a PM removed from office suddenly, followed by voter backlash because the PM removal process is so sudden and opaque.

Fed ALP will be pressured to reform itself, esp the caucus. ALP NSW Right faction has copped the blame for the current situation it found itself in.

Is ALP able to raise above its own infighting to rule? This infighting has caused it to rule only for 33 years in the past 100 years.

Yes, and you can see a bit of that yesterday on Q&A. Tony Windsor, one of the independent, is actually a very smart, articulate person. I think it doesn't just shook Labor, but also LNP about the results that if they don't just run an election on policy they would get this. I'll be voting for an independent they next time around given a chance, and the ASP!

No matter who forms the next fed govt, NSW labor is going to lose big time comes march next year. Can't wait to kick NSW labor out.
