Police shoot a man in the head during a high-speed chase

KUALA LUMPUR: Police shot one suspect in the head and arrested two others including a woman after a high speed chase here on the MRR2 near Taman Ampang Hilir.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 26, also rammed into eight cars and two motorcycles during the high speed chase before being arrested by police on Friday.

City police CID acting chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa said a team from the Sentul district first spotted the suspects in a housing area in Wangsa Maju at about 8.30pm on Friday.

He said the suspects, who were in a red Satria Neo, looked suspicious.

ACP Khairi said that when police asked the three to leave the car, the driver ignored and sped off, ramming into the policeman’s motorcycle.

"The suspects then sped off into the MRR2 heading towards Ampang," he told reporters at the scene.

ACP Khairi said that the driver rammed into eight cars and two motorcycles during the chase, which forced police to open fire.

He added that after police fired about four shots, the driver stopped beside the road on MRR2 near Taman Ampang Hilir.

"When we checked the vehicle, we found that the driver was shot in the head," he said adding that the suspect, who was in critical condition, was sent to the Ampang Hospital.

The suspect died at 5.40am Saturday.

Police then arrested two others in the car, including a woman.

ACP Khairi added that initial investigations revealed that the car had been reported stolen in Wangsa Maju.

He added that police also seized an air-gun, bullets, two machetes, handcuffs, equipment used for drugs and a handbag that was confirmed to be from a robbery case on Friday afternoon in Wangsa Maju.

ACP Khairi said that case was being investigated under section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder and section 411 of the Penal Code for car theft.

He..He.. Sinkie Cops before letting the car speed off, will take down the plate number first..

a terrorist state with terrorist cops.

The cops in Malaysia did the right thing unlike cops in sinkie land who watched while ah nehs burnt their vehicles. Is it cowardice? In Malaysia, cops shoot first and ask questions later. It is the correct way to deal with criminals. Try burning police cars in Msia and you could get shot to pieces. Criminals do not understand restraint. To crush criminal gangs, you must be tougher than their kinds or you lose.

Notice the newspaper mentioned that after 4 shots were fired, the car came to a halt. If the driver was shot when the 4 shots were fired, the car should have lang gar. Must be the idiot stopped the car and they reimburse that bullet while arresting him.

Hmm.....the typical mat police I met are the ones that stopped me along the north south highway to ask for kopi money before thanking you and wave you bye bye....

thats right. unlike useless sinkie cops. let FT riot and burn their cars and motorbikes. then just get deported. how useless they are. in malaysia they would get whack and caned on the spot. shot if resisted. that's why no riots in KL. just how useless sinkie cops are, they let mas selamat escape and need JB cops to catch him and now a replay when they let a psycho pass through woodslands and MFA!!! and yet you have usual arrogant stupid forumers criticisng Mudland cops for efficiency. alot of posts here are truly idiotic and sourgrapes. like how they trash this anton casey for speaking the truth about the smelly and always breaking down MRT.

Mudland has no scholar general system. So the police know how to fight. In sinkie land, the scholars tell the police to retreat or train them to run

analysis-paralysis. it happens with businesses too. there are too many managers these days who rely on spreadsheets and formulas to make a decision. not that it's no good, but certain decisions have to be made on feet, with guts, instincts based on experience and 2nd nature honed by training, trench fights and prior failures and mistakes.

best thing to do against rioters are to arrest them in public after the riot, not shoot them down during riot, because that will inflame the situation.

well the farmer SPF cops in Singapore only know how to obey the masters. They have no other mind since there is no diversity once you are under the control of the scholars.

Bet that the suspects are Indians. The polis won't dare to shoot at local Malays or Chinese.
