A tobacco retailer in Yishun caught selling tobacco to an underage youth in school uniform has had its licence revoked by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA).
Another seven retailers also had their tobacco licences suspended for six months after they were caught selling various tobacco products to underage persons, the HSA said on Thursday.
The HSA said it 'takes a serious view of the use and illegal sales of tobacco products to underage youth'.
Members of the public who have information on the illegal sales of tobacco products to underage youth are encouraged to contact the the Tobacco Regulation Branch at 66842036 or 66842037 during office hours.
