One would think that a state supported media, one that knew everything about the ruling party and its members, would have gone out of its way to ascertain the actual owner of the writer before printing the letter. In fact, even a private media would have checked to be sure that it was indeed printing the right thing. And most sincere media people would have added some text to tell readers that the writer is not related the same person as the Pm's son in the same printing as the letter so as not to confuse people.
So take a step back and appreciate the whole thing.
Someone writes to SPH with the EXACT same name as the PM's son.
Newspaper, state paper, prints the letter, which supports the PM and his party's stance in a very important aspect of Singapore politics.
The newspaper does nothing to prevent people from being mislead into thinking that the letter is not writter by the PMs son, eventhough the writer and the PMs son share the same name. Any decent newspaper or human being will have warned its readers that the two Li Hong's are different - even before printing the letter.

This is a test market to see what Singaporeans think of a 3rd level of dynasty. But have no fear. The third dynasty will surely come.
You all play for fun and to get off you chest for your failures in life and try to blame the pappies. The pappies are indeed evil. But the pappies are fighting for their lives and that of their family. If they lose an election, they know in short while they may lose everything.
So, they will do almost everything to stay in power.

Even a simple test and you all fail to see. When Walter was sucked into AG also you all say he can be good. HELLO! Nobody in hell can be good!!! Get that into your head. They fight to win because their lives depend on it. You only know how to whine and shrill and cry and complain and do nothing about it.
But what I worry is the next election. If the next election come next year then it looks like the garment want to make use of the economic trouble to scare Singaporean into voting for a know force in power. They know SIngaporeans scared of problem especially economic problem.
I now ask if there is anyonew out there who believes that the pappies will let the economy/country suffer even more until the next election?
