i got a cute little plan which is practised in FRANCE that might help solve looking after the aged and youngsters apphrensive that they might not be able to own a pigeonhole by sloughing their whole life.

it's a very simple plan and some legality must be applied.

our nation is aging. many remain single. as this carries on, there would be less siblings or young generation to look after the aged and the sick. now these people could be very rich. they most probably have already owned a HDB pigeonhole bought earlier at very much cheaper price.

the solution is to match a young to a old. the old bequeaths his HDB property to the young with conditions that he shall be responsible in looking after him when the latter old person becomes a permanent invalid.

as a reward, the old person might also reward for the young one for his care and concern by leaving all his inheritance to him.

all these have to be written in black & white with supportive LEGAL documents. the social welfare must get themselves involved to checking on the young/old combination. especially if the young defaults on this, they would be severely charged or even imprisoned for maltreatment or abuses.

well, what do you guys think? workable?:rolleyes:

everything FRANCE is frenchie. of course to the nasty clones they know it mean more.

singapore style of punishing n legislating stern laws is NOT the answer to the underlying solution. it's a forced caveman's style that is detrimental to the respect for the gov. the gov has now casted a AVARICIOUS MONEY MINDED image for themselves such that PAP has iconically known as PAY AND PAY.

LET'S DO FRENCHIE stresses on reward for the effort rendered to the aged and elderly. if the appropriate young caregiver is "adopted" by an elderly to co-habit with him/her, he could still form a family. his only duty is to look after that elderly by staying with him or at least accompamy that person for most of the times of his dependent needs.

on that elderly part who's not married and without siblings or other relatives that would have the time or energy to take care of him, he will legally will all his possesion - HDB flat or pte prop and saving and whatever to the adopted caregiver.

the details of the mutual lifelong contract can be meticulously worked out. if suppose the caregiver defaulted or abuse the invalid elderly, then he would have to face the stern law.

some social worker from the gov statboard could be deploy to oversee this symbiosis living together and ensure everything goes smoothly. he can also add as a mediator should there be indifference that might arise as the co-habitation proceeds.

the young could then be unburden of sloughing his enire life for a HDB while the lonely elderly could have someone to count for his end of twilight years.

it's a mutual contract of trust, concern, respect and graciousness. i hope the gov could consider this sketchy proposal.
