新竹縣湖口鄉的陸軍第六軍團裝甲第542旅裝騎連，昨（28）日漢光演習發生中型戰術輪車撞到廢棄崗哨車禍意外，造成15人受傷，其中11名傷者在新竹國軍醫院治療，今（29）日總統蔡英文在視導「漢光演習北部地區實兵對抗演練」後，前往醫院探望傷者。

蔡英文總統29日下午前往新竹湖口營區視導「漢光演習北部地區實兵對抗演練」，驗證陸軍裝甲542旅戰車戰鬥隊指管機制及反制敵機降能力。
蔡英文抵達湖口營區後，首先聽取湖口台地訓場操演地簡介及任務簡報，並視導反機降對抗操演，包括反特攻作戰、戰場偵蒐暨建立警戒幕、快速決策暨同步程序、任務接替、攻擊實施、擴張戰果與規復等課目實兵演練。在搭乘輕型戰術輪車前往視導後勤支援區作業後，並親自頒發加菜金予部隊官兵，慰勉國軍執行演訓任務之辛勞。
蔡英文29日下午4點多抵達新竹國軍醫院，探望11名車禍受傷者。不過，蔡英文並沒有公開發表談話。蔡英文在前往病房途中，聽取相關單位協助傷患處置情形，約在病房內停留10分鐘離開。
新竹國軍醫院指出，11名傷者目前留院觀察、養傷，等待院方進行心理創傷評估後能出院，預計在本週五（31日）可以陸續出院。
蔡英文稍後在臉書上表示，前往醫院探視傷者，祝福他們早日康復，國家一定提供最好的照顧。她也再次提醒所有國軍弟兄姊妹，演習視同作戰，平時辛苦訓練就是為了這一刻。做好充分整備，才能將意外事故降到最低。

据台湾《中时电子报》5月29日消息，台“海军舰队指挥部”今日发布新闻稿，一名上校导弹巡防舰长日前在东部海域执行战备任务操演后，返抵基隆军港，又邀约舰上多位干部在基隆餐厅聚餐，酒酣耳热之际，将一名醉倒的女少尉带往汽车旅馆性侵。“海军司令”黄曙光震怒，当天便解除其舰长职务并移送法办。

无独有偶，本月初台海军一艘“成功级”导弹巡防舰舰长因被曝在外养“小三”被解职。报道称，今天通报的这起性侵事件是本月内发生的第二起涉及不正当男女关系的军纪事件，台海军也因接连开除两位导弹巡防舰上校舰长而“元气大伤”。

“汉光演习”历来被台当局重视，但总免不了状况频出，甚至演习首日就“出包”已成为无法打破的魔咒。据台湾联合新闻网5月28日报道，台军“第六军团指挥部”表示，28日下午，台军“第五四二旅装骑连”驾驶中型战术轮车行经湖口二营区废弃碉堡处，撞击营区围墙，致车头半毁，15人分别受轻、重伤，有军人发生骨折、气胸等现象，被紧急送医。
去年的“汉光34”演习期间，首日就发生F-16战斗机撞山坠毁事故，飞行员死亡。次日又曝出“汉光九鹏导弹”射击出现失误，蔡英文面前出现不明物体坠落并有浓浓白烟一幕，并一度传出是导弹掉落。尽管台防务部门随后澄清，这是靶机发射后加力器脱离，属于“正常情况”，但加力器掉落于草皮附近引发了火势，仍引起岛内不小震动。
台军演习“出包”也引起岛内网友疯狂吐槽。
